How can we build a 'Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland'?

We want to know your views on how we can make Scotland a more accepting place for mums who are breastfeeding. Together, we can make a difference.

Driving change

A mum supports our 'How can we build a Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland?' initiative

Along with partners from the Scottish Government, NHS, The Breastfeeding Network and La Leche League, we held a series of events across Scotland discussing ‘How can we build a Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland’.

These events were part of the Firestarter Festival, a Scottish-wide festival that focuses on innovative societal change.

Through these events, we spoke to all members of the public, including mums, dads, children and grandparents, to ask their thoughts on what a Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland should look like.

We also had political support at our Glasgow event, which was held at Kelvingrove Art Gallery, asĀ Alison Thewliss MP dropped in to share her views.

If you live in Scotland and would like to feed any thoughts or ideas into this, please email Donna McSwiggan, Scottish Breastfeeding Programme Manager: donna.mcswiggan@nct.org.uk
