At the beginning of the month we celebrated Volunteers’ Week. Find out how we showed our appreciation for our amazing community of volunteers, and how you can get involved yourself.
The first week of June was Volunteers’ Week, which was a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do all we do.
40,000 people have benefited from joining our Walk & Talks – led by our fab volunteers – since last September
The theme of volunteers’ week this year was #timetothank, so our team called over 90 volunteers to personally show them our appreciation.
Volunteering makes a huge difference, whether it’s to one person, a family or community. Our volunteers who gave up their time during the pandemic have changed the lives of those who were supported.
They’ve helped an astounding 40,000 people since September experience the benefits of being outdoors and meeting other people on a Walk & Talk.
Throughout the pandemic, they’ve also moved support online, continuing to run coffee mornings, Bumps & Babies and other online groups to keep parents feel supported and connected.
Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time with NCT.
