Does work stop you saying goodnight?

Working Families, a charity which helps parents balance their responsibilities at home and work, is looking for mums and dads who have made a change to improve their work-life balance

Working Families’ HQ are getting ready for Go Home on Time Day on Thursday 21 June.

Their 2018 Modern Families Index revealed that for nearly two in five parents, work prevents them being able to say goodnight to their children often or all the time; and for more than two in five parents, work prevents them being able to help their children with their homework.

They’re looking for parents that have made a change to their work-life balance so they can spend more time with their children – from leaving work on time on a Friday, to making a flexible working request or having a non-working day per week.

If this is you – and you’re willing to provide a quote on your work-life balance, your top tip for managing it and a photo, for use in your local media – please send them an email at press@workingfamilies.org.uk by 29 May.
