Our National Celebration Day was a great success

Our first ever National Celebration Day was a fantastic occasion and a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements, share knowledge and network with other volunteers.

Earlier this month, more than 250 of our fantastic staff, volunteers, practitioners and members attended our first ever National Celebration Day at the beautiful Central Hall, Westminster.

We’d like to thank all candidates who stood in this year’s Trustee and President elections and everyone who took part in this year’s AGM.

We heard from Chief Executive, Nick Wilkie, about the year’s progress and the challenges we faced and we also held the 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

It was during the AGM we welcomed Seána Talbot as NCT President (pictured below) and Sarah Brown and Elaine Lambe as Trustees.

We’d like to take this opportunity to give a very special thanks to our outgoing trustee, Elgan Owen, who joined the board in March 2017.

The day also featured a session from psychiatrist Dr Alain Gregoire, Founder and Chairman of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA).

He talked about perinatal mental health issues and discussed the positive impact of NCT’s Hidden Half campaign.

It was a fantastic occasion and we appreciate everyone who helped make it such a success.
