The annual NCT Stars Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements, hard work and dedication of our volunteers and practitioners.

All of these amazing people have made an exceptional contribution to NCT by supporting parents and parents-to-be.

After an incredibly tough final judging session,  the winners of each category were announced at our National Celebration Day on Saturday 4 November at Central Hall Westminster (see box right).

The Practitioner of the Year award, which was won by Christine from Worthing branch (pictured top, centre), was for someone who went above and beyond expectations and made a significant impact on parents’ lives and wellbeing.

The NCT Bankside Project Team (pictured left) – from Yorkshire and the Humber – won Team of the Year due to their excellence in working together to support parents in their First 1,000 days to have the best experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

Meanwhile, Julie-Anne from Teesside branch (pictured right, centre) was named Volunteer of the Year because she made a significant impact on parents’ lives and wellbeing.

Finally, the award for Volunteer Team of the Year went to Bassetlaw from the East Midlands region (pictured below) because of their efforts and commitment to expanding local services and extending the support provided to new and expectant parents.

We received more than 700 submissions and nominations and more than 5,000 of you cast your vote online, demonstrating just how widely valued and recognised these awards are.

Many congratulations to everyone who participated.

Look out for information coming soon about the next round of NCT Stars where we’ll be announcing a very special new category.
