New partnership with digital platform, Peppy, to support mums and dads on parental leave

Find out about our new partnership with Peppy – a digital platform that helps employers support mums and dads on parental leave.

Peppy was launched by a team of parents who noticed a gap in the market for a one-stop shop for employers who are keen to support their employees during parental leave.

So what is it exactly?

Peppy is designed entirely around the needs of new and expectant parents. The platform gives parents access to a range of postnatal services across areas including sleep, feeding, exercise and mental health.

Leading employers have been keen to get behind the scheme, which supports the health and wellbeing of their workforces, while boosting employee engagement and retention strategies.

Peppy currently has 17 employers onboard including Penguin Random House, The Confederation of Business Industry (CBI) and Kantar Media.

Sarah McMullen, our Head of Knowledge, says: “It’s so important that expectant and new parents can access good quality support during pregnancy and the early weeks and months with a new baby. Becoming a parent can bring so much happiness, but is also a very challenging and isolating time with a very real impact on physical and emotional wellbeing. We’re excited about the potential for Peppy to help more parents access quality and timely support through their employee benefits scheme.”

How do parents benefit?

Employers who sign-up to Peppy commit to provide every expectant employee – both women and men – with credit to spend on the platform (typically £500). Employees can then redeem money off the cost of an NCT antenatal course, as well as a range of postnatal support services. This means that parents will get part of their course paid for by their employer, making them even more accessible.

We’re excited to be the sole provider of antenatal education on the platform with the opportunity to reach and support even more parents-to-be.
