Over half of new parents with young children feel lonely

Parenting shouldn’t be lonely. Help us support isolated parents this Christmas with our Baby & Me Christmas appeal.

Feelings of isolation

New research published in November by Coram Family and Childcare highlighted that 56% of parents with children under five experience loneliness at least some of the time. Twice as many parents on the lowest income said they often feel isolated from others (33%) compared to parents on the highest income (16%).

At NCT, we know we can do something about this. We have a strong network of volunteers, mostly parents, who run amazing events up and down the UK. Find out about activities and meet ups in your area.

We have over 800 trained practitioners who are able to share evidence-based information with amazing care and support. We have designed a new service, Baby & Me, that harnesses this positive energy and knowledge. To reach those parents most in need, we urgently need your donations.
